I treated myself yesterday to a few little treats for my altar that I had put off. One was getting a small offering bowl and plate for my altar and the other was getting a few small white ramekins and a small white tart dish for esbats. I wanted to get some good mead as well but ran out of money. I had been searching for an incense burner but really dislike the brass ones. On one of the many witchcraft sites, I saw a ceramic bowl in a few nice colors but it came with black sand. I wasn't able to pick the color of bowl I wanted or change the color of the sand so I gave up. Then, a voice in my head told me that I had two serving bowls both with a handle that I had picked up at a place called The Town Dump YEARS ago and why couldn't I use the smaller one? I pulled them out and sure enough, the small one is perfect. I have some beach sand from my last trip to CA to boot, so, as it turns out, I had what I needed all along! I love it when that happens! I also remembered that I had two crystal shot glasses my SIL brought back from Sweden as a gift, so I can use those for the mead. I honor the Norse pantheon-Odin and Frigga specifically-so, again, what I wanted was stashed away in the depths of my cabinets. Both the bowl and glasses were obtained years before I found Wicca. I'm usually one to toss or donate what I don't use so I'm a little suprised that I still had them.
The pendant I ordered from Cybermoon finally arirved today. It's the triple moon with a moonstone as the full moon in the center and a pentacle on the back. I ordered it nearly two months ago but due to a typo, was sent back to Cybermoon. The typo was very minor. Instead of Way, I had typed Wat. You're telling me that the post office couldn't have figured THAT out? Anyway, tomorrow, I'm going to get a silver chain so I can wear it. It's on my altar now. It's my first piece of Pagan jewelry. I haven't worn a necklace for a long time. I have a few but ordinarily, they're to wear with an outfit. Normally, when I wear jewelry, it's on all the time like my wedding ring. I'll keep this on all the time too, it'll just take a while getting used to wearing a necklace again.
Well, that's the news from Lake Wobegone, as it were. Talk to you all later.
Blessings

I love it when things come together like that!
