I finished the last Harry Potter book about an hour ago....too much fun!  It's been a little strange not being on the computer for two days!  I'm used to being on this site several times a day.  It's nice to be back even if it was only for the weekend.  Sorry, no spoilers here.  Talk to you all soon.  I'm off to bed, I'm exhausted (reading is hard work ;)).

Just wanted to say that when I buy my copy of Harry Potter tomorrow, I will be gone til I finish it!  Probably be about two days.  Will miss you all but I'm sure this site will not be getting as much action until we HP freaks finish the book.  Have a wonderful weekend, talk to you all in a few days!

Well, I've found my wand.  Being fairly new to Wicca, I didn't want to rush into anything.  In the last year or so, I've learned that the Gods have their own timing and when I'm ready, They'll let me know.  It happened with my name so I figureed the same would apply to my tools.  I've been looking for athames but nothing has really stood out for me.  Yesterday evening, I was reading and suddenly had the urge to go weed the garden.  When I got to the back wall, there were several branches on the ground hidden in the weeds.  They were wet, so I set them on the patio table to dry out.  They were all about the right size so I thought, when they dried out, I would take a closer look at them.  I spent the morning at Chuck E. Cheese with the girls and when we got back, "Wand, Wand, Wand" was running through my mind.  There were some other branches on the ground in the front yard by the driveway but nothing attracted my attention.  When my 2 yr old went down for her nap and my older daughter went to her friends house, I settled down to read.  Again, "Wand, Wand, Wand".  This time, I went back outside to where I had placed the branches.  I looked at all of them then picked up one that looked perfect.  It was the right length, though a little long.  It felt right in my hand...this was the one.  The tree it came from was  one that is actually in my neighbor's back yard.  I've always loved that tree.  When I'm outside, I look at it all the time and I can see it from my bed.  When I look out the sliding glass door, that's where my eye goes.  I'm embarrassed to say, I don't know what kind of tree it is but it knows I love it and I think it's a gift from her.  Now, I just need to sand and seal it before I can consecrate it.  I know the other tools will come.  I belive that the runes are the divination tools that most resonate with me.  I've tried a few different tarot decks to no avail.  I think I'll try scrying when I get some more experience under my belt.  For now, I'm content that the tools will come as they may.  Patience is NOT my strong suit so this is probably an excercise in waiting.  Great.  I'm not in a hurry.  I know this is my true path and I'm willing to follow it where it leads.

Well, Mars is in retrograde and my house is in an uproar.  Yesterday four of my daughter's friends from the neighborhood came over.  One of the girls has a younger brother who usually tags along.  The entire afternoon was punctuated with fights, misunderstandings and tears.  I was never so happy to see 5pm!!  Even after they left, my daughter kept harping on the "fact" that the boy had been the sole cause of ALL the trouble.  My husband and I tried to convince her that this clearly wasn't the case but she wouldn't hear it.  Today looks like it'll be more of the same, *sigh*.  I'm already looking forward to tomorrow and it's only 10:45am!  Please send positive energy and patience my way....I'm gonna need it!
