 Hard to believe Lammas is upon us.  In a way, it seems like we just celebrated Yule!  Autumn is my favorite time of the year.  The weather cools down and all the harvest crops bring out the kitchen witch in me!  Baking is my favorite thing.  Bread, fruit/veggie bread,  stews and cookies!  I have a recipe for pumpkin cookies that I don't make til October.  They're  usually a big hit.  It's still balzing hot here in Phoenix....113!  But I know cooler climes are soon to come.  Food is a social vehicle for me.  Nothing is better than inviting friends and family  over to sit around a table or if front of a fire.  I'm not natually social so it's a good way to break the ice.

Good Morning!  It's a beautiful day, and I'm going to take full advantage!  The girls and I have been in the house all week in an attempt to save gas and money, but today, I'm taking them out for a while, if only for my sanity.  They get whiny and fight at the drop of a hat when they''re cooped up for too long.  Thought I'd take them to the library and Michael's.  They love the books and Jenna can squeal at all the Halloween stuff at Michael's.  I want to get a small vase for my fireplace altar one for the dresser top altar as well.  I'm looking forward to the celebration tonight.  It's only me but I'm going to bless the cauldron, my runes and two sets of cards.  It'll be a fun night.  I can light up all the candles in the livingroom.  There are quite a few in there now!  I'm also going to keep the TV and computer to a bare minimum so I can begin work on my BOS.  I got tired of putting that off until I could afford the "perfect" one.  Unfortunately, the perfect BOS is over $400.!  I see nothing wrong in starting smaller and transfering the important stuff later--much later, it'll take a while to save up for the BOS of my dreams.  Hope you all have a very blessed esbat!

Full Moon Blessings

Tonight I'm going to a Midsummer circle at a mountain preserve.  It's a pot luck and they'll have watter shooters for the kids!  This will be the second time my 7yr old will attend with me.  She had such a good time and made friends with every child there!  I need to learn how she does that, lol.  Have a bright and beautiful weekend.
